Been quite busy lately so I apologize for the lack of any recent posts. April was full to the brim with makeup and hair, hair and makeup, I had no time off in April which really was quite a blessing financially (I should be moving back to the city of angels soon now!) There were a few shoots in April which I will post below. Also I started to freelance for Chanel Cosmetics and have new goodies to share with you! Now the beginning of May didn't hold back either, traveled down to Red Rock Canyon, about and hour east of Bakersfield and did a fabulous shoot with former America's Next Top Model finalist Sundai Love.

This is my favorite but below is a close up of the makeup

All her real hair, I put an endless amount of braids in her long locks and pinned and draped.
To start off I cleansed, toned and moisturized her skin, doing this prior to makeup-ing makes an enormous difference. Not only does it help with the longevity of your makeup, it wakes up your skin and you will notice more of a glow!
Eyes: were kept simple and added a gloss (new obsession)
Lips: prepped with rosebud salve; MAC Chatterbox and foundation color stippled around; MUD Lip Pencil in Natural; Gloss on bottom center of lips

Prepped skin; Foundation/concealer as needed; Highlight above cheek bone Stila Shadow in Oasis. Fill brows and black mascara to finish. Body suit American Apparel

Fun period makeup & hair. Cardigan Forever 21; Jewelry vintage; Dress models own.

Close up on makeup :)
For this avant garde look I did things a bit different. Of course as always I prepped the skin (cleanse, tone and moisturize) I mixed a bit of white cream color to her foundation color and blended it all over (notice: covering the eyebrows)
Eyes: blend of blacks and purples
Cheeks: MUD Bubblegum
Dress Armour Sans Anguish

LOVE this color, its my hottest pink, in a matte finish--perfect to spice up any look!

For Sundai we prepped her skin, concealed where needed and powdered with MAC Studio Fix. Contour with MUD Pressed Powder, Rouge MUD Cheek Color in Glow, Highlight Stila Shadow in Oasis.
Brows: filled with MUD Rich Brown Eye Pencil
Eyes: lash line to lid with MAC Paint Pot: Blackground, set and blended with MAC Eye Shadow: Carbon (the last look: extend the black liner and shadow & apply under eye) Under eyes Chanel Ombre Essentielle: Amethyst.
A few new things I am in love with:

Chanel Quads, technically named Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow some favorites are: Variations, Spices, Reflect D'ombres & Smokey Eyes. The consistency of the shadow is beyond flawless. It easily allows you to blend beautifully and with the perfect amount of shimmer which allows the wearer to be of any age! (image via Chanel.com)

As I previous mentioned Chanel's new Summer Collection has arrived, and is going quickly!! My review: Nail colours: amazing, I believe all sold out but the gold they have come out with looks wonderful and perfect for summer
