Easter Twenty Twelve

Sorry that this post is so late, for some crazy reason my normal usb port decided it no longer wanted to work so it took me a bit to find an other option to upload the photos. Well, Easter has come and gone and for the past three, four, maybe even five years we've just all stayed home, went to church, ate chocolate, the usual. However growing up it was always such an ordeal so this year I decided why not take charge my self and revive out long lost tradition of Easter at the grandparents! And being my crafty self I made invitations, pin wheels, glitter eggs, and cute cuppy cakes along with prepare most of the food (okay not the meat, definitely not the meat & those pies are definitely marie calendar's I am not so skilled in the whole baking department just yet). I would say over all it was quite the success, most of the appetizers were gone before I could even snap a photo! There was lots of smiles and lots of laughter and that is what it's all about.
A cheerful heart is good medicine.  Proverbs 17:22

How to make perfect glitter eggs.
(1) Paint your paper maché or blown out eggs
(2) Stick straight pins in foam board (I used school supply poster board)
(3) Paint adhesive over entire egg (I used Modge Podge)
(4) Start shaking your glitter!
I did each color by them self so I could dump the left over glitter onto a paper to filter back into the glitter container - no need to be wasteful!
